Virtual Frequently Asked Questions

Why is Shamrock’n going virtual?

Following further discussions with the cities of Sacramento and West Sacramento, we have made the decision to make the 2020 Blue Diamond Almonds Shamrock’n race virtual. The health and safety of our participants, staff, and volunteers are a priority.

All existing 2020 Shamrock’n registered participants are automatically registered for the virtual race. No action is needed on your part.

Do I need to register for the virtual race?

If you registered for the 2020 Shamrock’n event, your registration for the 2020 event will be transferred to virtual.

If you have not registered for Shamrock’n, but wish to join us for a Fall Shamrock’n event, you can still register for the virtual event.

What happens if I don’t want to run Shamrock’n virtually?

You may defer your registration to the 2022 Shamrock’n event.

When is the deadline to defer my registration?

The deferral deadline was September 23. We are no longer accepting deferral to the 2022 race.

When does the virtual race start?

The virtual race will start now and will run until November 1.  You can upload your results through November 15, 2020.

Will I still get my swag if I run virtually?

Yes, you will still receive the shirt, medal, and any additional merchandise you purchased.

Can I change my shirt size?

You can exchange your shirt size at packet pickup

What do I do if I don’t want to run virtual?

You can defer to the 2022 Shamrock’n.

What distance can I run?

Shamrock’n has a 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, Leprechaun Kid’s Run, and the Doubleheader Challenge

Where can I run?

You can run wherever. The beauty of a virtual race is you can create your own course, whether you are in your neighborhood, on the trails or on your treadmill.

How do I upload my results?

You may upload your results at https://results.raceroster.com/results/u7ctxwvtj7eszpzp.  You will need the following to submit a virtual result:

  • You must have a valid registration for this event which we validate by asking for the confirmation and last name on the order. Think of this like “checking in” for the race. You may have received this confirmation when registering, or you may have been sent one from the event.
  • You may want to provide recorded proof of your finish time. Complete your race and record it using a tracking app. You can then upload a screenshot of your results when posting your finish time.
Am I required to upload my results?

Posting your results is entirely optional.  If you registered for the event, you will still receive your shirt and medal whether you upload your results or not.

Can I get a refund for my registration?

We are unable to refund your registration fee. Shamrock’n adheres to the standard running industry policy: All entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
